LL.M. in International Trade and Business Laws |
| |
NALSAR University of Law offers
highly developed research based LL.M. course with 8 specialized subjects. International Trade and Business Laws (ITBL) is one of those specializations, which is one of its kinds in India. The University started offering this specialized course from academic session 2008-09. Currently there are 14 students who are pursuing their studies and research in this area. |

LL.M. (ITBL)
includes “Regionalism and International Trade
Law: A Focus on SAARC” Paper II of the course.
The paper consists study of various regional trading
blocs such as EU, NAFTA, ASEAN, SAARC, APTA,
MERCOSUR, etc. RTA experience in South Asia is the
major thrust of the paper. Patterns and dynamics of
SAARC economic relations, PTA/ FTA arrangements at
bilateral and multilateral levels, their
contribution to intraregional trade growth, tariff
and non tariff regimes, trade laws and dispute
mechanism are the key components of this paper. The
students are expected to examine regional trade
relations in comparative perspective, relating to
those of other trade blocs and global trade
environment in general. |

| One of the
objectives of the Centre is to offer 10 fellowships to 10
candidates (with law background) to pursue the P. G. Diploma
Programmes of NALSAR Proximate Education (one
year-non-residential web-based programmes) in Patents Law,
Cyber Laws, Media Laws and International Humanitarian Law
programmes and such future programmes of the proximate
education centre. |
