Objectives of the M.K.Nambyar SAARCLAW Centre
 
The objectives of the Centre are:
 
  1. To promote SAARCLAW cooperation by offering Means cum-Merit Scholarship to students from SAARC member countries to pursue their fulltime Master's Degree at NALSAR University of Law for a period of two years.
     
  2. To offer 10 fellowships to 10 candidates (with law background) to pursue the P.G. Diploma Programmes of NALSAR Proximate Education (one year-non-residential web-based programmes) in Patents Law, Cyber Laws, Media Laws and International Humanitarian Law programmes and such future programmes of the proximate education center.
     
  3. To construct a SAARCLAW Centre for Advanced Legal Studies at NALSAR with facilities of library, conference room and research centre to be named after M.K. Nambyar.
     
  4. To construct a SAARCLAW Moot Court Hall to be named after M.K.Nambyar for conducting an annual SAARCLAW Moot Court Competition on the themes of Economic Laws, Human Rights issues and Constitutional Law.
     
  5. To conduct sensitization and training programmes for Law Teachers 1 Law Officials 1 Judges of SAARCLAW Region.
     
  6. To have an annual SAARCLAW Conference.
     
  7. To undertake research projects on various aspects of interface of Law on issues concerning SAARC region.
     
  8. To bring out publications of Newsletter / Journal and Books on SAARC.
     
  9. To launch and maintain a website www.saarclawcentre.org.
     
  10. To promote faculty-student exchange programme with SAARC Universities.
