Welcome to M.K. Nambyar SAARCLAW CENTRE

Since its inception, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad has carved a niche for itself by setting up a bench mark in terms of imparting Legal Education in India. NALSAR has left an indelible impression by being the torch bearer in order to show to the masses the hidden unearthed mysteries of the legal field. NALSAR has also been able to add yet another feather to its cap by advocating for the need to overhaul the existing legal system in India.

Today, the wave of regionalism has percolated the whole South Asian Region. India, being one of the fastest growing economies in the world, cannot be a square peg in a round hole rather it has to act accordingly and play a pivotal role so as to develop of the SAARC region. NALSAR being one of the esteemed Law Universities of the country took a noteworthy initiative by establishing the state-of-the-art M.K.Nambyar SAARCLAW centre as a medium so as to promote advanced legal research pertaining to legal problems which have eclipsed SAARC countries.

Vice Chancellor’s Message

In recent times the growth of Regionalism has given rise to key changes in legal systems of almost all the countries. Similarly, SAARC opened many vistas to all SAARC countries in order to demystify the concept of regional cooperation amongst them. But the impediments pertaining to the legal aspect of regional cooperation amongst these countries remains unaddressed.

In order to fill this void, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad established a special centre for SAARCLAW studies which is now on the move by offering highly developed courses like LL.M, Ph.D, etc. The SAARCLAW Centre at NALSAR focuses on the SAARC related legal issues and aims to find out the amicable solutions for the same. Hence, I feel privileged in inviting the discerning individuals to join us in order to have a cutting edge expertise over SAARC related legal issues.
